Bio

Doug Schulte is a self-taught collage and mixed media artist living and working in Arlington, Virginia. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and master’s degree from the University of Maryland. Doug started making collages in 2018 as an outlet for untapped creative energy and has since expanded into a broader range of mixed media formats. He has been featured in Contemporary Collage (Book), Contemporary Collage Magazine, Kolaj Magazine, 46pgs, Cults of Life, and several other magazines and collage anthology books. His work is held in the Kanyer Art Collection and numerous private collections, and he has participated in solo and group exhibitions in and beyond the Washington DC area.
